This is a landmark album for me as it is my first solo one. I've composed, arranged and performed all the tracks, and have faithfully reproduced in the studio the same arrangements I can live loop with pedals, and play on stage. Featuring 11 tracks, nearly an hour of music.

Stunning cover photograph capturing "a magnificent astronomical spectacle in the Pleiades as a moving cluster of stars encountered an isolated molecular cloud."

about

In 2008/9 I was in Southern India, and for some of that time I worked on a Marine Turtle Project on the Arabian Sea in Karnataka, through the UNA (United Nations Assoc.) It was totally inspiring work.In 2010, I wrote music for a show by hSquared based on this trip, 'A Speck On The Horizon', and this was one of the songs.

lyrics

One thousand miles of sea
She journeys all alone
How does she find her way
She’s coming home
To where her life began
To lay the future down
The tides of life
Go round and round
and round and round and round

CHORUS
Shes lived one hundred years or more
Her heart shaped shell laid bare
Moon and stars and tide
Are her only guide
O turtle of our oceans
Elegant and free
Seas of change are gathering
Can you ride the storm?
****************
Her work done, exhausted,
She crawls back to the sea
Heavily across the sand
By moon
She may never meet
The young she’s given life
Another moon she’ll ride in
On the tide

Fifty suns and
Fifty moons
One hundred eggs lay deep
In sand
Every moment savoured
In the womb like warmth
Plenty dangers lie
Ahead

CHORUS
Shes lived one hundred years or more
Her heart shaped shell laid bare
Moon and stars and tide
Are her only guide
O turtle of our oceans
Elegant and free
Seas of change are gathering
Can you ride the storm?
Can you ride the storm?
Can you ride the storm?
